On Friday mornings, there may be anywhere from 12 to 30 people in Sherrie Woodward’s kitchen. She loves to cook and makes breakfast for the Pea Ridge High School football players and cheerleaders weekly. She has carried on that tradition for six years now.

Now & Then Picking up walnuts for school supply money and to eat

The walnuts are coming down! Several weeks ago I found that before I could mow the lawns I customarily mow, I had to pick up walnuts first.

Book fair fundraising

Pea Ridge Primary School has had a book fair for the last couple of weeks. The teachers said they are grateful to the students and parents who helped make the book fair a great success in helping the school get more money to buy books for the library.

Department of Justice approves newspaper merger

The Justice Department has closed its investigation related to failing newspapers in Northwest Arkansas, clearing the way for a joint venture to move forward, officials of Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Inc. and Stephens Media LLC announced.
