PEA RIDGE — Leon and Roberta Carnes of Tulsa, Okla., are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tonya Carnes, to Derrin Mabry of Washburn, Mo.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Cloe and Inez Carnes of Pea Ridge.

The prospective groom is the son of Brenda Mabry and Harvey Mabry.

The wedding is scheduled on April 17, 2010. The couple plan to make their home in Tulsa.

Galyean celebrates 90th birthday

A reception for Darline Poe Galyean, of Hiwasse, in honor of her 90th birthday, will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Hiwasse Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Hiwasse, Ark.

Mrs. Galyean grew up in the Garfield/Pea Ridge area, but has lived most of her life in the Hiwasse community.

Friends and family are invited to drop in between the hours of 2-4 p.m.

Mrs. Galyean’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who are hosting the reception, request gifts be omitted, but that cards and the presence of guests will be appreciated.
